The establishment of a formal dredging and dredge spoil material disposal policy is seen as an essential element in the successful management and mitigation of environmental impacts associated with dredging activities in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park (Marine Park). 2. This document will be considered when assessing applications for permissions to conduct dredging or to dispose dredge spoil material in the Marine Park.
