Abstract: The Scientific Steering Committee The independent Scientific Steering Committee (SSC) to the Representative Areas Program (RAP) provides advice on scientific issues, programming and priorities to assist the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority (GBRMPA) to achieve the best possible outcomes. The membership of RAP’s SSC was decided by the GBRMPA after consultation with over 70 of Australia’s top scientists with expertise in the GBR region.
