Management of the Marine Park depends ultimately for its success on the management of people. Park management agencies seek to control, educate, inform and influence the behaviour of those people who use the Park to ensure the wise use, appreciation and enjoyment of the Reef's resources. These agencies also need to ensure that the people who are employed to manage the Park have a strong commitment to the ideals embodied in the Marine Park concept and a motivation to carry out management functions in ways that enhance visitor appreciation and use of the Reef while ensuring its conservation.en
