| Abstract: | The Authority's goal is to provide for the protection, wise use, understanding and enjoyment of the Great Barrier Reef in perpetuity through the care and development of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. The Authority's goal is inclusive, encompassing a wide range of opportunities. However, the Authority holds that conservation of the Great Barrier Reef is its primary obligation, and all other activities are dependent on this over-riding responsibility. |
