Abstract

This guide will help recreational visitors understand where to go and what activities can occur in particular areas and has been revised in 2021. The Whitsundays is one of the most highly visited regions in the Great Barrier Reef; recognised for its spectacular island scenery, secluded sandy beaches, remarkable blue waters and vast array of wildlife. The reefs and islands support a variety of wildlife including protected species such as humpback whales, turtles, dolphins, seabirds and dugong.
