The Research Collaboration Guidelines outline how researchers can engage with the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority (Reef Authority) to develop collaborative research that supports Reef management priorities. The guidelines encourage early engagement, knowledge sharing, and alignment with the Reef Authority's Science Strategy and priority knowledge needs, ensuring research contributes to evidence-based policy, programs, and operational decision-making. They also emphasise the importance of respectful engagement with Traditional Owners and the incorporation of Indigenous knowledge and Sea Country priorities where appropriate.
