Policy – Definitions: s7(4) policy and plan (REVOKED).

Abstract

This policy has been revoked by the Marine Park Authority Board at MPA288 on 3 December 2024.

The objective in this policy is to define the terms ‘policy’ and ‘plan’ used in section 7(4) of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Act 1975 (Cth). The policy identifies the functions that a policy and plan will perform. This policy applies to documents and decisions about the way the Authority intends to “manage the Marine Park” under section 7(4)(a) of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Act 1975 (Cth). This policy does not apply to how the Authority intends to perform its other functions under section 7(4)(a) of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Act 1975 (Cth).
