Abstract
The Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Act 1975 provides for the establishment, control, care and development of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. The Cairns Section was first proclaimed in 1981 (Commonwealth of Australia Gazette, 19 November 1981).
