Abstract

As managers of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, we see this in the attitudes of users of the Park, of developers, of the media and of government. Indeed, in today’s economic circumstances where governments are required to carry out ever more difficult tasks with ever diminishing resources, management of the Great Barrier Reef would be an impossible task without the development of this recognition.
