Central Section Zoning Plan: Great Barrier Reef Marine Park

Abstract

This zoning plan has been prepared in accordance with the Act to provide for the division of the Central Section into zones and to make provision with respect to the purposes for which each zone may be used or entered. The Zoning plan also provides for the designation of areas, within zones, where specific management conditions may be applied, for example, to regulate activities in heavily used areas to provide for public safety or to enable resource stocks to recover.
