dc.description.abstract[Extract] To provide guidance on the assessment and ongoing management of tourist pontoons within the Marine Park. Decisions on applications to install and operate tourist pontoons and heli-pontoons in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park are consistent with achieving the objects of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Act 1975. The Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority and permission holders implement a consistent and achievable, risk based approach, to the ongoing inspection, maintenance and management requirements for tourist pontoons and heli-pontoons in the Marine Park.en
