Abstract: This report is a compilation of information from a number of research projects supported by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority. The data provides a baseline for monitoring economic change in the Marine Park. Economic analysis has been undertaken of the following activities (sectors) occurring within the Great Barrier Reef Region; island resorts, charter boats, commercial fishing, recreational fishing, island camping and research.
